150+ Young Delegates | 200+ Registrations | 5 Committees : A dynamic platform for Diplomacy, Governance & Youth Leadership
Ludhiana: CT University hosted the Punjab Youth Diplomatic Summit – Model United Nations (MUN), organised by the Youth Diplomatic Summit in collaboration with CT University and the Entrepreneurship Cell, CTU, witnessing an impressive response of 200+ registrations and 150+ participants. The summit featured five committees, providing young delegates with an opportunity to deliberate on pressing contemporary issues and experience the functioning of international organisations and democratic institutions.
The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) discussed the need for a binding global AI regulation framework aligned with UN human rights conventions, while the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW) deliberated on strengthening global mechanisms to combat gender-based violence and promote women’s economic independence.
The International Press (IP) committee brought together journalists, photographers and caricaturists, while the Influencer Summit explored the global impact of social media influencers on society, culture and governance. The Lok Sabha Committee witnessed parliamentary debate on the constitutional validity, social impact and implementation challenges of the Uniform Civil Code under Article 44.
MLA Saravjit Kaur Manuke Graces Summit; CT University Leadership Applauds Youth Engagement. The summit was graced by Chief Guest Saravjit Kaur Manuke, MLA Jagraon, who interacted with the participants and appreciated the initiative aimed at nurturing diplomatic awareness, leadership and democratic participation among youth. The Executive Board members played a pivotal role in guiding the proceedings and ensuring meaningful, structured deliberations across all five committees.
Speaking on the occasion, Pro Chancellor, CT University, Dr. Manbir Singh, appreciated the initiative and said that platforms such as these provide students with more than academic exposure—they develop the confidence, awareness and leadership mindset required to address real-world challenges.
Director, DSW, CT University, Er. Davinder Singh, lauded the enthusiastic participation of the delegates and highlighted the importance of experiential learning in developing communication, negotiation, critical thinking and leadership skills among students.
The summit concluded on a high note, reinforcing CT University’s commitment to creating platforms that empower young minds to engage with global affairs, governance, diplomacy and social issues while emerging as responsible leaders of tomorrow.
