From hard work to historic glory - Sneha makes CTU proud on the world stage
Ludhiana: CT University has added a golden chapter to its sporting legacy as Sneha Gharami, competing in the Junior 76 kg Weight Category, delivered an extraordinary performance at the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championship 2026 in Winnipeg, Canada. Representing CT University on the international stage, Sneha secured Gold Medals in Squat, Bench Press and Deadlift, along with the Overall Gold Medal with a remarkable total of 500 kg.
Sneha recorded 190 kg in Squat, 120 kg in Bench Press and 190 kg in Deadlift, creating a new Commonwealth Record in all three disciplines. Her exceptional 500 kg total and golden sweep reflect not only remarkable physical strength, but also years of discipline, sacrifice, training and determination.
For CT University, the achievement is much more than a medal tally it is an inspiring story of a young athlete turning relentless hard work into international glory.
